Taylor traded his bar for a Spirits import business, bringing Sazerac de Forge et Fils cognac to U. S. shores. His bar, rechristened the Sazerac Coffee House by new owner Aaron Bird, became synonymous with the "Sazerac Cocktail", featuring Taylor's imported Cognac and local apothecary Antoine Amedie Peychaud's bitters. Fast forward to 2019,
